				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What a gorgeous day for a restoration!</p>
<p>The basement footers are being dug and crews are roughing in the basement and first floor electrical. Rough in means they are laying things out without making the final connection.</p>
<p>Soil conditions at the porch area will be repaired. Porch pier anchors will be installed. Basement concrete will be removed for plumbing rough in. Foundation walls will be formed. Once the paint adhesion test is approved, the metal ceilings will be painted.</p>
<p>Come by the home sometime to see all that is going on, just stay outside the construction area please. If you can&#8217;t make it, here are some pictures taken from today.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well the weather hasn&#8217;t been cooperative, so some thing planned for this week will be moved back a week.</p>
<p>So once the weather starts to cooperate here is what is planned for the restoration the next couple of weeks:</p>
<p>Paint metal ceilings, infill the wall, remove the stairwell and dig the basement.</p>

<p>The following week, the metal ceilings will be painted. Demolition for the turret steel will start. Basement footers will be dug. Tin ceilings will be removed in the parlor area to preserve them while work is done on the turret.</p>

<p>Thanks to the warmer temperatures the lead abatement should be finished next week. As more of the building is exposed, weatherization becomes crucial, so crews are continuing the temporary weatherization.</p>
<p>Framing continues in the basement for the first floor as well as the layout for the basement addition and the termite shield installation.</p>
<p>Next week the second floor joist framing begins. Demolition should be complete and digging for the basement will start.</p>

<p>This week, work on the front porch continues. See the pictures below. It is still too cold for lead abatement, but the weather looks good next week for that to happen.</p>
<p>Next week crews begin framing the second floor joist and begin digging the basement. There will be a lot of basement work the next couple of weeks.</p>
<p>Stop by sometime and check out the work, (outside the fence of course)!</p>

<p>Demolition continues. Termite shield and bracing should begin in the basement.</p>
<p>In the next two weeks, if the weather warms up lead will be removed. The layout and framing of the basement should start. Digging will begin on the basement, metal ceilings will be painted, and framing should being on the second floor joist.</p>
